#Cultural Counselor Ibtisam Al-Shater Celebrates Yemeni Graduates at Karabük and Bartın Universities

As part of the embassy’s ongoing commitment to supporting Yemeni scholars abroad, Cultural Counselor Ibtisam Al-Shater attended a graduation ceremony in Karabük, honoring 65 Yemeni students who earned their bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Karabük and Bartın Universities.
Organized by the Yemeni Students Union, the event was attended by Deputy Ambassador Abdullah Mohammed Barman, alongside senior university officials, local immigration authorities, and members of the Yemeni diaspora.
In her address, Counselor Al-Shater lauded the graduates for their academic excellence and dedication, reaffirming the Cultural Section’s steadfast support for Yemeni students. She emphasized the importance of their role as cultural ambassadors for Yemen and pledged continued efforts to address any challenges they may encounter throughout their academic journeys.
Deputy Ambassador Barman extended warm congratulations on behalf of Ambassador Mohammed Saleh Tareq, commending the Cultural Section for its proactive role in student welfare. The ceremony featured a documentary highlighting Yemen’s rich cultural heritage and the students’ success stories, followed by an awards presentation for top-performing graduates.
During the event, Counselor Al-Shater and Deputy Ambassador Barman met with Turkish officials to explore avenues for deepening academic cooperation. The Turkish representatives expressed their admiration for the Yemeni students, noting their exemplary discipline and strict adherence to university regulations, which continue to reflect positively on the Yemeni community in Turkey.
